My son Scott and grandchildren Bessie, Bodhi and Elsie carry lanterns up the hill behind my house, Plumtree - Light in the winter darkness

They practice the old Tibetan traditional greeting of sticking tongues out. This has always been considered a mark of respect in the Tibetan culture.

Of course cultures differ. When I demonstrate this to groups of English school children at  school talks  it leaves children excited and teachers uneasy!!!

May the tradition of "Peace on Earth" never die...
