One of the things I love about being in the snow and skiing is experiencing the joy... the joy of the stunning beauty of the environment and the joy of the freedom of throwing myself down a mountain. How exciting to experience a step beyond:-
From a vantage point at 3,000 metres, I watched as my son Scott and daughter-in-law Nella climbed, in snowboarding boots, carrying boards, up the final section of La Grande Motte, French Alps. The cable car was broken, so all was empty of tracks. Deep new snow waited. Clipped into their snowboards they took an amazing wild line down underneath the glacier. They seemed to 'fly' ecstatically leaving trails of powdered glory...
I thought I would feel envy, but instead I felt unbridled joy.
Let us be open to experiencing shared joy through that of others. There is an unlimited supply!
See the step beyond...
(Thanks to Pete for the great photo of Nella in action)
